2 cup flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon (sweet option)
1/4 cup sugar (sweet option)
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup butter
1/2 cup grated cheese (savory option)
3/4 cup milk
1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine flour, baking powder, (cinnamon, sugar) and salt with a fork. Cut in butter with a pastry knife until well blended. For savory option, mix in cheese.
2. Push mixture to the sides of the bowl (making a crater) and fill with milk (making a lake). Gently stir until blended, taking care to handle as little as possible.
3. Knead 4 times on a lightly floured surface. Pat until 1/2 inch thick and cut in to desired shapes.
4. Bake at 400 F for 12-15 min. Eat ’em while they’re hot!
